well... here are some self-portraits... on my portfolio blog... i am still not entirely comfortable showing these here, but my gut told me to so i did. i struggle with what i should post here since i want this blog to be a documented version of my portfolio and therefore, feel like it should only contain my "professional" images. however, i believe that a lot of my growth over the past year and a half has been through self-portraiture and i am really proud of some of the pictures that i have created. i posted a short series of my boyfriend here not that long ago and it wasn't fashion. it wasn't even a diverse series. it was just a collection of images that had the connection and visual qualities that i want to show in my work. i don't intend to make a habit of posting self-portraits here (if you want to see more, check out my visual diary) or even pictures of my loved ones, but i shouldn't be afraid to show something just because it's different. these photographs are just as much "me" as my fashion work.
